The Greater Rates Of Autism Children Face Today Is Puzzling

The larger rates of autism children face these days is puzzling to doctors and researchers. The rate of this condition has gone up considerably during the last few years, and the cause in this increase has not been recognized yet. There are lots of theories that have been spoken or discussed but there is no solid proof to prove some of these possibilities. Vaccinations, polluting the environment, difficulties from pregnancy, exposure to certain compounds, and many other feasible causes have been theorized.

The United States Government, many medical professionals, and the vaccine makers insist that vaccines which are provided to kids are safe and don't cause autism. Several parents and a few doctors believe otherwise though, especially in cases where the child was developing normally till a vaccine was presented and then autism symptoms were first noticed by the parent and medical doctor.

Environmental pollution has also been blamed for the higher rates of autism children experience these days. Some scientists believe that exposure to polluting the environment or other harmful substances causes the difficulties that are seen with autism. These compounds include mercury from eating fish, pesticides that have applied for the food chain, additives and preservative chemicals that are usually added to foods, and other kinds of toxic compounds. The problem with this theory is that many children have been exposed to these substances in the womb and were not autistic.

Medical imaging assessments don't normally reveal any brain damage or abnormal brain activity in autistic kids. This has led a few experts to consider that the problem may be with the neurotransmitters in the brain that are accountable for brain action. This is also just a theory though, and studies have not been conducted to determine whether this theory is right or just a false assumption.

There have been treatment breakthroughs that give guardians hope but there's still no cure in sight. It is possible that this problem will be unlocked by medical science sooner or later but until then treatment and therapy is vital.
